Group Life And AD&D Insurance
Group Term Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance are provided at no cost to our employees and are insured by CIGNA.
Optional Life Insurance
Employees may purchase additional life insurance coverage insured by CIGNA for themselves, their spouse and dependents.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Granite employees may participate in a Flexible Benefit Plan where payroll deductions are taken on a pre-tax basis. The Flex Plan includes a Health Care Reimbursement Account and a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account. Employees may also elect to use a Flex Credit Card, allowing direct pay of eligible flex expenses at the point of service, to cover out of pocket expenses.
Short And Long Term Disability Insurance
Short Term Disability is paid for by the company and covers non-occupational illness or injuries.
Long Term Disability is offered by CIGNA and covers non-occupational illness or injuries.
Pre-Paid Legal Services & Identity Theft Shield
Granite employees may enroll in Pre-Paid Legal Services to provide for legal assistance in preventive legal matters, motor vehicle legal expense services, trial defense services, IRS audit services and legal assistance or litigation services. Employees may also elect Identity Theft Shield that provides up -to-date credit reports, continuous credit monitoring and identity restoration.

LifeLock is the industry leader in the field of Identity Theft Protection and is offered to Granite employees on their date of hire.
Direct Payroll Deposit
Granite offers direct payroll deposit to all employees.
Paid Holidays
Granite provides employees 10 Paid Holidays a year, plus one employee selected “My Day”.
Paid Time Off
New employees accrue 10 hours of paid time off per month totaling 15 days per calendar year. PTO accrual rates continue to increase with every 5 years of service
Volunteering – Paid Time & Matching Contributions
Granite employees are encouraged to volunteer their time to non-profit organizations to make a difference in our communities. Granite supports these efforts by the following programs:
· Paid Volunteer Hours: Employees are eligible to use up to forty (40) hours a year, inclusive of travel time, to volunteer at non-profit organizations to create general goodwill for Granite and our employees in the communities in which we work and live. Employees may use up to twenty (20) of these hours to volunteer at a personal non-profit organization, of special interest to the employee.
· Matching Program: Granite will match dollar for dollar charitable donations:
· Made by full-time employees with a minimum of one year of service
· Minimum amount matched per employee is $25
· Maximum dollar amount matched per employee annually is $100
· Contributions must be made via cash, check, or credit card to be eligible for matching
· All matched gifts will be paid quarterly
· Entry Fee Reimbursement: Granite will reimburse an employee their entry fee to participate in a charity event of $15 per event up to a maximum of $75 per year.
Flexible Work Hours
Granite follows a normal work schedule of forty (40) hours a week, eight (8) hours a day, Monday through Friday. Granite’s “core” hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm. Employees, with approval from their supervisor, may adjust their work schedule within 1 hour of the “core hours” as long as they work eight (8) hours a day.
Summer Hours
On the 2nd and 4th Fridays in June, July & August, Granite employees can leave at noon to enjoy time with family & friends.
Attire
Granite maintains a business casual environment. Employees are encouraged to wear Jeans on Friday with a Granite Logo Shirt.
Educational Assistance
After thirty days of employment, eligible Employees may be reimbursed for up to $2,000 per calendar year for tuition, fees and books.
Computer Reimbursement
After six months of employment, employees are eligible to buy approved computer equipment, accessories and business related software and can be reimbursed up to $500.
Good Health Program
In addition to great medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits, Granite also encourages employees to maintain good health by offering the following reimbursements:
· Health Club Reimbursement - Reimbursement for health club dues for employees, up to $250 per calendar year.
· Smoking Cessation Program - Reimbursement for approved smoking cessation expenses for employees, up to $100 per calendar year.
· Weight Loss Program - Reimbursement for an approved weight loss program for employees, up to $250 per calendar year.
Employee Assistance Program
CIGNA’s Behavioral Health Life Assistant is available to all Granite employees at no cost to the employee. This program is available 24 hours a day, every day, to offer confidential short-term support and/or referrals for employees and their family.
Extra Degree Awards
Granite fosters a culture of recognition. When you’ve gone above and beyond expectations, it gets noticed by your fellow Graniteers nominating you for an Extra Degree Award. Upon approval by your manager and HR, you’ll be awarded an “Extra Degree Award” including a monetary gift and recognition at the company’s quarterly meetings.
Buddy Program
At Granite, everyone knows your name. To help get you settled in, Granite pairs all new hires with a Buddy – a mentor and a friend. Your Buddy will take you around on your first day to introduce you to everyone in the office and will take you to two Buddy lunches.
Travel Assistance Program
CIGNA’s Life Assistant Program is medical emergency assistance service that offers, at no cost to employees, medical assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year when a participant becomes ill or has an accident while traveling. The program is effective when employees and their families travel 100 miles or more from their legal residence or in another country that is not their legal country of residence.
Business Travel AD&D Program
Granite provides business travel accident insurance, at no cost to employees.
