Truth be told, this was my first visit to the Boardwalk at Granite Park. I was impressed. This 3000-square-foot waterfront development is beautifully laid out with lounge areas, fire pits, children’s play areas, patios, and a number of restaurants. Biscuit Bar, like the other restaurants here (which currently include Hookline, Union Bear Brewing, and Chip’s Hamburgers) features large, covered patio areas all sitting shoulder-to-shoulder and overlooking a small lake.

Massive Biscuit Sandwiches Have Arrived in Plano
The Biscuit Bar is now open at The Boardwalk in Granite Park

The Biscuit Bar, a Southern restaurant that’s obsessed with its namesake, has officially arrived in Plano.

The new restaurant is now open at The Boardwalk in Granite Park, a mixed-use development at 5880 State Highway 121. It’s the first restaurant for husband and wife duo Jake and Janie Burkett, who plan to serve creatively-topped biscuits that are made fresh at the restaurant. The Biscuit Bar will occupy 2,223 feet of space indoors, along with seating on an expansive 1,300 square-foot patio. A “biscuit window” offers a view into the doughy action going on behind the scene.

Get ready to pass the butter and gravy. The Biscuit Bar, a new comfort food-centered restaurant, opened its doors this month at The Boardwalk in Granite Park. With a straightforward menu – biscuits, tots, and taps – and a upscale yet comfortable interior, it’s easy to settle into a seat on their picturesque patio or grab a stool at their bar. “We loved the area when we saw it,” co-owner Janie Burkett said. “I was driving by after Chips opened and saw they had so much foot traffic, so we knew we wanted to be here.”

Granite Park, the mixed-use development located near the southeast intersection of the Sam Rayburn Tollway and Dallas North Tollway, announced April 25 The Biscuit Bar opened at 5880 SH 121, Ste. 102B, Plano. The restaurant serves biscuits with toppings like fried chicken, bacon, cheese and honey butter. Patrons can also purchase a variety of tater tots, cocktails and more.
