Co-working firm Industrious, which already has three locations in Los Angeles, is expanding into Glendale.
The company has inked a deal for 24,000 square feet at Granite Properties’ office tower, 500@TheBrand in Glendale.
The space will be located on the 20th and 21st floors of the building at 500 N. Brand Boulevard. The space is slated to open in June 2019, according to a joint release.
Granite’s @TheBrand location includes two adjacent office buildings — the 431,800-square-foot structure at 500 N. Brand Boulevard, and a 307,400-square-foot building at 550 N. Brand Boulevard. The two buildings are connected by outdoor space that was recently completed.

Industrious has teamed up with Granite Properties to open a coworking space at 500 North Brand Boulevard in Glendale, according to a release from Industrious.
Per the management agreement, Industrious will oversee 24,000 square feet of vacant space in the Los Angeles County building dubbed 500@TheBrand, totaling the entire 20th floor and half of the 21st floor of the 23-story property in the central business district, which is slated to open next June.

Fast-growing Brooklyn coworking firm Industrious has created a partnership with Dallas commercial real estate investment and development company Granite Properties Inc. to open a shared office space in a Los Angeles suburb, the latest move in its shift away from traditional leases as the coworking industry and landlords adapt to the trend’s new stronghold in office markets across the country.
Industrious said it has partnered with Granite to open a 24,000-square-foot shared office space on the 20th and 21st floors of 500@TheBrand, a 431,835-square-foot building at 500 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale, a city just northeast of downtown Los Angeles. While Industrious said it does not reveal the number of partnerships it operates with landlords, the deal is at least the third of its kind nationwide for the company.

As companies move away from traditional workplaces, the need for coworking spaces has grown.
The latest company looking to capitalize on the trend is Granite Properties. The company is working with Industrious to bring coworking to Glendale, the two announced Nov. 26.
Its flexible office space, called 500@TheBrand will have 24,000 square feet at 500 North Brand Blvd. It is Industrious’ first location in Glendale.
The space will open in June 2019.
