Dallas, February 6, 2019 – Granite Properties, a commercial real estate investment, development and management company, announced today that Common Desk, a Dallas-based coworking and workday amenities provider, has officially opened Common Desk – Factory Six03. Located at 603 Munger Street, it offers 18,085 square foot of coworking space at Granite’s adaptive reuse of a historic warehouse turned Class A office building in Dallas’ West End. This is the second coworking space between the two companies; the first location is at Granite Park in Plano.

Located off the lobby on the first floor, Common Desk – Factory Six03 consists of 26 private offices, six conference rooms ranging in size from 12-person to two-person rooms and a large common space. The space provides an abundance of natural light and vegetation as well as a variety of seating for work meetings, networking or social time. Amenities include a vinyl record lounge, open-air mezzanine and tiered office space, a nap room, a library wall with built-in book nook and a wet bar. Common Desk members will also have access to shared space throughout the building including the top floor, which features a conference center, lounge and patio called “The Stack”, with a rooftop garden and views of Dallas. Because of its various membership offerings, Common Desk – Factory Six03’s member community is already comprised of a diverse mix of professionals, from large tech companies to small businesses and DFW entrepreneurs.

“We’re excited to open Common Desk – Factory Six03 in one of the most historically rich buildings in Dallas,” said Nick Clark, Founder and CEO of Common Desk. “Every detail of our space, from the seating arrangements to the amenities, has been selected to create a productivity-enhancing work environment that’s one-of-a-kind,” he added.

Both Common Desk and Granite Properties take a customer-centric approach, offering hospitality driven workspaces with engaging community events. The two companies will work together to offer diverse programming and experiences including charity and professional development events.

“Common Desk – Factory Six03 will offer our existing customers an attractive and flexible workspace option,” said Will Hendrickson, Senior Managing Director, Granite Properties. “We will also work together with Common Desk to create memorable experiences and promote a vibrant community at Factory Six03,” he added.

Formerly the iconic West End Marketplace, Factory Six03 is designed to inspire creativity and innovation among its users. Current customers include C1 Innovation Lab by Blue Cross Blue Shields of Texas. Granite kept and restored many of the building’s historic features inside the structure. The 215,000 square foot space leverages a mix of natural materials such as 100-year old wood floors, exposed brick, a two-story brick oven from its days as a biscuit factory and art installations. Open communal spaces are populated with elegant and comfortable furniture on the main and top floors, including in a large atrium with a skylight allowing an abundance of natural light to penetrate deep into the interior spaces, to enhance connection and collaboration among customers.

Common Desk – Factory Six03 is located in the emerging West End, a walkable urban neighborhood where the Dallas Innovation Alliance has started implementing a number of smart city initiatives including a future smart park called West End Plaza.
